About

My Story

Growing up on a small farm in Mount Vernon, our family meals were always full of homegrown, homemade foods and good conversation, which inspired my love of food. I completed a bachelor's degree in biology, and then pursued a program that emphasized the use of whole food and graduated with a  Master's degree in nutrition from Bastyr University. After attaining my registered dietitian credential, I spent time working with adults with various conditions, then worked with a wide array of patients at Seattle Children's Hospital for about 2 years.

I am now using my background in whole foods nutrition to support health during a critical time in life; pre-conception, prenatal, and early life. Recent research suggests that the nutrition during this time can impact the genetic programming of babies, affecting IQ and problem solving skills, mental health, chronic disease, and their immune system.

Starting a family is an exciting, and often stressful time. By optimizing your nutrition, I aim to help you become pregnant, support baby's and your health during pregnancy, and to positively impact the life-long health of your little one and your growing family with balance and nourishment through food.

After initially struggling to become pregnant I am now the mom to three little ones, which has further fueled my passion for supporting families during these early years. I understand the innate challenges associated with this phase in life, and use a practical and achievable approach with my clients.

I look forward to working with you!
